In short, I’d say Affinity Designer is better for drawing and pixel editing than Adobe Illustrator but for the rest of the features, Adobe Illustrator is more sophisticated. The difference is that Affinity designer uses node editing and Adobe Illustrator allows you to create freehand paths.Īdobe Illustrator does offer more advanced features and one of my favorites is the Gradient Mesh Tool, and Blend tool, which allows you to quickly create a realistic/3D object.
